Street to Home

About Street to Home

Until every animal on the street finds a family for life, we will be the bridge in between.

Why Street to Home?

Street to Home was founded to look beyond rescue alone: to tackle the root causes of the growing number of abandoned animals, a serious social problem, and to put genuine respect for life into practice on a global scale.

We aim to correct how people see animals by sharing the basic understanding of animals and animal law that every pet owner, and everyone preparing to become one, needs to know. In doing so, we want to be the bridge that leads abandoned animals to families for life and restores their right to be happy. We will do our very best to spread a positive influence, so that when people truly understand animals, fewer animals are ever abandoned.

Animal Rights: Another Right of Life

Animal rights means the right of animals to live with dignity, free from suffering and abuse. It calls for moving beyond a human-centered view and guaranteeing basic rights for all animals, including proper welfare and protection and the freedom to behave and express themselves naturally.

What We Do

  • Connecting rescued animals with new families — We counsel and match rescued animals with responsible families for life.
  • Abandoned-animal awareness campaigns — We work with companies and organizations on campaigns that change how people see abandoned animals.
  • Sound education about animals — We deliver respect-for-life education for schools, companies and future pet owners.
  • Changing perceptions of mixed-breed dogs and overseas adoption — We challenge prejudice against mixed-breed dogs, who struggle to find homes in Korea, and find them families abroad.
